McDonell Thoroughbreds

McDonell farm is well known in the Nebraska circuit for rehabilitating the injured race horse. One notable success is LOONEY LIONEL, an aggressive, accomplished horse that suffered the possibly fatal "white line" disease. Patient care and proper medical treatment brought Looney Lionel a return to the races in 2008, and has won two races so far.

COUNTY ROAD FOUR sustained a slab fracture when running third in the Stephens Stakes. He has won six more races to date after the injury which so often is a career ender for the race horse.
